Back in the Saddle

After 5 months of training, I am a full-fledged US Army Soldier. Hooah! I serve in the 145th Support Battalion currently assigned to Idaho’s 116th armored cavalry division. As much as I enjoyed my training (particularly AIT), it is good to be home with my family.

Since my training is complete, I am now available for new projects or support of old projects.

Tomorrow, I embark on a new adventure–military service. I enlisted in the Idaho National Guard last August, and tomorrow I ship for Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Advanced Individual Training (AIT). I am excited and scared at the same time, but I know I will get through it.

If everything stays on schedule, I should return mid-August. My wife will be happy to see me again, especially since I’ll probably be back at my pre-married weight. And of course my son will be ecstatic and probably won’t let me go for a few days at least.

If you feel so inclined, please keep me in your prayers (or at least wish me luck).
